NGS — Plein Air Painting: A Legacy in Southeast Asia

A motion-graphics piece for the National Gallery Singapore's exhibition Into the Modern: Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (14 November 2025 – 1 March 2026). The video traces Plein Air's history from its impressionist origins into Vietnamese art — opening with the birth of Plein Air, journeying into Vietnam's open-air discovery, and closing on art as resistance during wartime. We handcrafted watercolour and sketch textures that sit naturally beside the featured paintings, layered Southeast Asian botanicals into the supporting graphics, and shifted the overall mood from light to dark as the story turned.
